Our staff has over 125 years experience in leadership, ministry, and telling bad jokes. They work hard to cultivate the spiritual soul of Chancellor where the Gospel can be planted and grown.
Eric Goforth came to CBC as Senior Pastor in 1994. Born in South Carolina, Eric is a graduate of Furman University (B.A.), the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Union Theological Seminary (D.Min.). Eric has been married to Debi since 1981, and they have two adult daughters and a Chihuahua. Eric enjoys photography, reading, traveling, trying international foods, and learning almost anything new. His favorite movie quote is: “Everything will be all right in the end. If it’s not all right, then it’s not yet the end.” (Best Exotic Marigold Hotel)
McKenneth King was born in Jamestown, Tennessee but moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia in 1981. McKenneth is a graduate of Tennessee Tech (B.A.) and Southern Seminary (MCM). He joined Chancellor in 1994. He and his wife, Pam, have two sons. In his free time he enjoys woodworking. His favorite worship song is "I Believe".
Josh Thompson was called to Chancellor in 2011 as the Associate Pastor of Education and Youth. He married his wife, Brooke, in 2002, and they have four children. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University and a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School. Before coming to Chancellor he served churches in Alabama and Georgia. He desires to see all age groups be part of a discipleship community where they form life-changing relationships and grow to spiritual maturity in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Wanda Tuck is the Assistant Pastor of Children's Ministry at CBC. The kids just call her Ms. Wanda. Some of her favorites are the beach, singing, playing games, nature, and trying new foods. Wanda has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Southern Wesleyan University, and has loved working with kids since “like forever”. Wanda really wants kids to know the joy of loving Jesus from an early age. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their grown sons, and their middle school daughter.
"If I had one super power, it would be to fly, because God has created such an amazing world that I want to see it all!" -Wanda Tuck
Larry Jimenez studied Communications at George Mason University, and earned a Master in Theological Studies at John Leland Center for Theological Studies. 2006 was a significant year for Larry because it is the year in which he became a pastor for the first time; and also because it is the year he married his best friend, Kathy. Larry and Kathy are proud parents of Jeremy Joel. Larry is a bi-Vocational pastor, and he can be found ‘playing’ behind the master control board at WAVA 105.1FM when he is not ministering at church. These are his two greatest passions in life. Larry became the Asssociate Pastor for Spanish Language Ministries at Chancellor in 2014.
