Biblical Counseling

Biblical counseling is a way of caring for you as we seek to understand your struggles and see how Christ and His gospel truths apply in deeply personal and specific ways to the realities of your life so that you can live out the gospel by faith in community, made possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. At Chancellor Lay Biblical Counseling, we believe the gospel powerfully transforms our individual lives, our relationships, and the world.

Carrie Eddins – Certified Biblical Lay Counselor

Carrie, a Certified Biblical Lay Counselor through Light University, walks alongside women, young women, and families, offering compassionate, Christ-centered encouragement as they navigate grief, anxiety, depression, and other opportunities for growth while pointing them to the hope and sufficiency found in Jesus Christ. For 27 years, she has served Christ and His church through children, youth, and women’s ministries and has served in leadership roles within Community Bible Study, Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), and small group facilitation in GriefShare. Presently, she serves as a Children’s Leader for Middle and High School Homeschooled Students within BSF and also mentors two younger women, encouraging them to grow in their faith and navigate life’s challenges through God’s Word. Through her own life experiences—including the loss of her father and first husband, raising and homeschooling five children, caring for a child with Type 1 diabetes and another who battled childhood cancer, and navigating a three-year season of depression and anxiety—God has deepened her compassion for those who suffer. Now remarried to a widower and blessed with a blended family of eight children and two granddaughters, Carrie celebrates God’s faithfulness through both sorrow and joy and seeks to use her experiences as opportunities He has entrusted to her to encourage others and bring glory to Him.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.”
